Farmstand Lemonade

Cream? In Lemonade?
Yes! It may seem odd at first, but this is so great!


1 cup (250 mL) sugar
4½ cups (1.125 L) water, divided
¾ cup (175 mL) freshly squeezed lemon juice (3-4 lemons)
¼ cup (50 mL) 35% cream

Serves: 6


In a saucepan over medium heat, combine sugar and 1 cup of the water.
Heat just until the sugar dissolves.
Remove from heat and allow to cool as you make the rest.
Squeeze the lemons and add the juice to a pitcher along with the remaining 3½ cups of cold water, simple syrup, and cream.
Stir well and chill before serving.
